Fashion, apparel & retail design¶
Purpose: Agent-ready guidance for building fashion / apparel / DTC retail sites and launch assets — brand sites, lookbooks, product pages, and especially pre-launch / coming-soon / drop pages. This is the vertical Program Edge keeps getting inbound for (LinkedIn services requests), so it's worth a durable, reusable knowledge base.

Why this vertical is different¶
Fashion does not sell on features or copy — it sells on image, identity, and desire. That changes the design rules:
- The product photography (or its absence) is the single biggest conversion lever, not the layout.
- Restraint reads as expensive. Clutter reads as cheap. Luxury sites are mostly whitespace + one big image + restrained type.
- Demand is often manufactured (drops, scarcity, waitlists), not just captured. The marketing model is as much a design input as the brand.
